JR & Angel's wedding

last night, schmuck and i attended the wedding of our good friends, JR and Angel. The ceremony was held at the tahanan village church, and reception followed at the palms.
it was such a beautiful wedding, as i'm sure it will also be a beautiful marriage. as the radiant bride marched down the aisle, i couldn't help but feel emotional, and tears welled in my eyes.
i'm such a crybaby, it's pathetic! everytime i attend a wedding (and this is even when i'm just a passerby and i don't personally know the couple!), as the music changes and the bride makes her entrance, i will always feel that lump in my throat and i will start to cry. schmuck just shakes his head at me, as though saying "Women!" what can i do?! i just love weddings!
as we all trooped to the reception, schmuck and i were getting excited, since this is something like an ocular inspection/food tasting for us. i made sure that our digicam had a full battery, as i planned to take pictures of everything i see.
well, we weren't disappointed! the ballroom was beautiful and the food was plentiful AND delicious! i loved the angel hair pasta with salmon, and the tomato with mozzarella, and the grilled asparagus spears, and the porkloin with mushroom sauce, and the snapper fillet, etc etc etc! yum, YUM, YUM!
during the program, angel's sister gave a little speech, and as usual, i cried. it was such an emotional speech (as most speeches during weddings are!), and knowing what a pathetic crybaby i am, the waterworks acted up again. of course, all of schmuck's friends were laughing at me and there were about 4 guys who were offering me their handkerchiefs! teehee!
a little side kwento...angel & jr hired a band to play during the reception (remember the one schmuck was so excited to tell me about, but had no other details other than that they were a band? --> refresh my memory please!), and they were so great! schmuck and i were discussing how we'd like to get them for our wedding too, when it turns out that the lead vocals is one of my trainees at work! what a small world! hmmm, maybe then i could get him for free! it's either that or he loses his job...bwarharhar!
anyway, it was such a great evening, and we all had such a great time! how can you not when you're amongst friends...
...and the man you're going to marry.
